has mentioned that Rajbhar Caste is a subclass of Bhar Caste.
Is Rajbhar and Bhar
Same?
Bhar
caste has prefixed Raj in their surname to represent their royal
history, although both are
same.
Although at present, this community is addressed as Bhar community
by all other
communities
living surrounding them.
Rajbhar
caste in Uttar Pradesh, where I live never get OBC certificate
as Rajbhar caste, instead
they
are given a Bhar certificate by all the government authorities.
Is Bhar and Pasi Caste
Same?
No, Bhar and Pasi Caste are not the
same, and it is clear from their social and cultural
differences.
Few historians have written them as the same caste because of
lack of resources
and ground
knowledge.
Cultural
differences can be clearly seen between both castes at their
native places. Bhar caste
never
showed any relationship with Pasi caste whether it is marriage
or any other kind of social
bounding.
They always remain apart in the similar way like other social
communities live apart.
Before
making such statements, anyone should must clear the ground situation
by visiting their
native
places.
Pasi
caste is known to climb and tap
toddy (Taadi) from palm tree. They also rear pigs but Bhar
caste
never allows to live a person in their community, who rear
such animals.
Pasi
caste is nowhere addressed in their society as bhar caste at
their native places.
Is Rajbhar a tribal
caste?
Rajbhar
caste is not a tribal caste because their community does not
live in tribal areas from
ancient
era. They mainly live in the plains of northern and southern
India. They were mainly
working
as the kings and their courtier. They also fit in the army
of their kingdom as commander.
After
the arrival of Sultanate period, Bhar were completely destroyed
and few of them escaped
from
sultanate ruler and invaders in dense forests and mountains to
save their families and
make
further strategies.
Why not it is a
tribal caste?
In general,
a tribal caste is a habitat of forests or farthest areas,
who do not have touch with
ongoing
societies. But bhar caste does always have great culture and
well developed society.
Although
after living in farthest areas, their educational and other social
background started
weakening.
But it
cannot be addressed on this basis as a tribal caste because
many other kings and their castes (like Rajputs) also followed the
same path but they never considered as a backward or tribal
castes.
Why Bhar caste is
living a backward life nowadays?
There
are several reasons, among which main reasons are as follows:
·
Most people belonging to Bhar caste did
not provide proper education to their children because of their
current financial situation.
·
Most children study in government schools, where
only formality of education is fulfilled.
·
Since their
educational background never went fine, they never dare to achieve higher post
in government or other services.
Are they still living
backward life?
You will find huge awareness in this society the past
decades. Thus, many have achieved good results but many are still in the
transition phase of rising their values. It will take more than decades to take
them in mainstream.
I will provide all the sources mentioned here in my another post, if you show
genuine interest.
